Why did you start The Continental Wine Club?
We wanted to share these wonderful wines from our small-production family-owned wineries in France. Before we started The Continental Wine Club our wines could only be found in fine restaurants and some wine shops throughout California so we would receive calls and emails from people who had tried our wine at these establishments wanting more but it wasn’t in their area. So that’s when we decided to create an online wine club for these customers to not only buy their new favorite wines through our wine shop but they could also sample what our other wineries had to offer through the wine club. Quality and Value is what we strive to offer our customers.

Why should I risk trying a small winery?
All of the wine you receive comes from small production family-owned wineries that mostly have been passed down from generations of winemakers. Their vineyards are established and their winemaking has taken generations to perfect. They pride themselves on making the best wine that their land will produce while respecting tradition and always respecting nature and their land. Our wines are all chosen to represent the “terroir” or land where the grapes are grown, that means the land, climate, grape varietals, appellation, and regions are all reflected in the wine. Our wines come from passionate winemakers that focus on making quality wines that give other mass production wines a run for their money!

Why should I choose your wine club over another online wine club?
We are specialized in two things: Fine French wine and Value. We only import French wine because that’s what we know and that is what we are passionate about. We are experts: Alex is a graduated Sommelier from the University of Wine in France and we travel to France to meet with the wineries directly to tour their facilities, and taste all of their wine productions before we decide to import them. We know all of our wineries personally and we not only enjoy their wine but we enjoy working with them as well. Most of the wines that you receive are found in the top restaurants throughout California so we are not the only experts who enjoy our wine but we have some of the top Sommelier in California recognizing these amazing wines.

What do I receive with my wine club package?
You will receive information about the wineries, a map of the wine making regions of France, and information on each of the wines.

Can I receive only red wine in my package?
Yes, if you have any special requests please be sure to let us know when you call. We will do our best to accommodate all requests. The general mix of the wine packages are red and white with the occasional rose.

Can I reorder wine that I received from a past wine of the month?
Yes!! (dependent on supply) We have all of our pricing information in our Wine Shop so please feel free to look that over and give us a call. Remember all 6 & 12 month members receive a 5% discount on all wine from the Wine Shop* and all customers receive a 10% discount on full case orders (12 bottles – mix-and-match ok). *3 bottle minimum please

I want to send a Gift – can I receive the free wine that comes with the 6 & 12 month memberships?
Yes. We can certainly send you the free wine that comes as a benefit to signing up for the 6 & 12 month memberships…even if it is a gift for someone else! Just let us know at the time of the order that you would like the free wine sent to you and not your recipient.

Just that we are a small wine club that focuses on our customers receiving high-quality wines at a good value along with great service.
